Dalle Kardashian a Kate Moss: le star che puntano sulla cosmetica al CBD

The world of CBD cosmetics is constantly evolving and expanding. To act as the main engine there are the numerous benefits that cannabidiol has on the skin, but help also came from the many Hollywood stars who have decided to be promoters, from professional and personal point of views, of a beauty routine of   products based on CBD. Here are some examples.

Stars promoting CBD cosmetics

CBD, the main non-psychoactive component of Cannabis, boasts soothing, relaxing and anti-inflammatory properties and is also able to stimulate the growth and development of cells and counteract free radicals responsible for the ageing of the skin. Because of this, cannabidiol is a great ally in cosmetics and, in particular, in skin care.

This is renowned between celebrities who have chosen CBD products for their beauty rituals and have invested professionally on cosmetic lines based on it. Here are recent examples: from Nicole Kidman to Kate Moss, passing from the Kardshian sisters and the drummer Travis Barker.

Nicole Kidman: one of the first stars to choose CBD cosmetics

One of the first Hollywood stars to choose cosmetics based on CBD as a beauty routine is Nicole Kidman, who has revealed in an interview to have a “low maintenance” beauty routine based on fewer, but high quality, efficient products.

CBD is the true protagonist, loved by the stars for the wellbeing of the entire body: from skin to joint health.

After testing it in person, the actress has decided to implement cannabidiol in her professional life, becoming global ambassador in promoting the Seratopical CBD line produced by SeraLabs, health and wellness quality brand which offers natural and holistic products.

Gwyneth Paltrow: wellbeing at 360°

Gwyneth Paltrow too was one of the first to promote the use of CBD in her personal beauty routine, which became the key ingredient shared by her wellness brand Goop.

From moisturising creams to oils to tips for hair care and wellness, today on Goop’s website there are many suggestions on how to prepare cocktails, cakes and teas based on CBD, promoting a 360° use of the cannabinoid.

The kardashian sisters (and Travis Barker)

After Kim, a well-known supporter of CBD cosmetics for years, her sister Kourtney Kardashian, has announced she uses cannabidiol based products in taking care of her skin. Not only, recently the oldest sister has announced a collaboration with the beauty brand Hora Skin Care for the launch of their newest CBD product 98% of ingredients based on natural origin: Hyaluronic Halo + CBD.

This is complemented by the project presented in September 2022 by her husband Travis Baker, drummer of the band Blink-182, who has launched his own very personal skin care: Barker Wellness. The line consists of 5 products (mask and face cleanser, moisturiser, eye serum, face serum and a regenerating balm), suitable for all skin types and boasting not only high concentrations of CBD, but also of CBG (cannabigerol) and CBC (cannabichromene).

Kate Moss and Cosmoss

In September 2022, Kate Moss launched her new brand Cosmoss, a skincare and self care line which circles around spirituality and the beneficial properties of nature. The idea, according to statements made at the launch, was born during lockdown, when the topmodel rediscovered a deep contact with the natural world. It resulted in a collection of six products to use alone or in combination as a beauty routine which acts from the outer to the inner self: two types of teas, a perfume, an antioxidant oil, a cleanser and a face cream.

The main ingredient, in particular in the skin products (antioxidant oil, detergent and face cream) is cannabidiol, which thanks to its interaction with the endocannabinoid system, soothes and rebalances the skin barrier and acts as a sebo-regulator.
